Civic Trust Awards Update

We're excited to announce that Parkside (Olde Englishe Road, Matlock) has been included as a regional finalist for the 2015 Civic Trust Awards with second tier selections being made in January!

This scheme makes full and positive use of a previously vacant brown field site in the heart of the beautiful Derbyshire spa town of Matlock at the very heart of its Conservation Area.

Considerable effort was made to ensure robust and quality detailing such as the copper-clad oriel window elements.

The development includes spacious accommodation, accessible shop/cafĂ© units and a strengthened connection between pedestrianized areas either side of the river.

NEWS

The big story for Evans Vettori in 2014 has been the RIBA East Midlands awards ceremony which took place earlier this year - an exciting event which turned out to be extremely fruitful for the office too!

We were thrilled to pick up two RIBA Awards which we'd been shortlisted ; the first of which was for 'St Joseph's Church Hall' in Derby and the second for 'High Edge' in Matlock.

The office was also selected to receive the award for "Practice of the year 2014" for the East Midlands region - we were honored to be given the title among so many talented local peers!

Our St Joseph's Church Hall project also later received the National Churches Trust 2014 Presidents Award. Some of you may have caught Dan speaking about the design at the Great British Buildings Event which took place at St Joseph's in October!
