Time to blag a blog :

It's been fairly busy in the office this week:

A BSF Project that was on hold due to the government spending review has been restarted, so we're looking forward to getting back onto the design. There's a bit more information on the LEP website:

www.nottinghamlep.co.uk/bsf_projects/nottingham/schools/nott_nethergate_summary_.asp

Andy and me went up to visit Renishaw Primary School where we've recently finished a new Nursery and Reception classroom block.  The school moved in just after the Christmas holidays, so its nice to see it being used.

Rob's been tutoring students at Nottingham University studying how to achieve 'Zero Carbon' buildings. The project was for a new 6th form centre at Highfields School in Matlock and concluded this week with an exhibition at the school of their proposals.

Mike's back and has been out and about in the cold surveying field barns for agricultural use.

Finally, we've been burning the midnight oil preparing our competition entry for the Rebuilding of the Swiss Tea Rooms at Belper River Gardens. It's being submitted today, so fingers crossed! We'll upload some images next time...

Hello!

Hello and welcome to our new blog!

We're a small architects practice based in Matlock, currently with four architects and two seamstresses, more on that later...

Our offices are in a former undertakers workshop which we converted ourselves a few years ago, but we mainly work in community and education projects, and a few one-off houses.

We'll be using this page to keep you updated with our news and view and interesting things, but for now this is (two of ) us:
