An Independent Living Unit for Ashgate Croft School, Chesterfield, teaching life skills to pupils with learning difficulties. The building is timber framed and clad in Siberian larch. A large open plan kitchen/dining space opens onto a kitchen garden which can be watered from the rain water collection tank positioned behind the timber fence. In October we walked 26 miles of the Limestone Way to raise money for the school to complete the garden. Next spring our £300 sponsorship money will fill the beds with vegetables and fruit.
